Wee Cottage at Beacon Hill

This place is cute as a bug's ear! There was a minor problem with the master b/r A/C leaking water when we got there late in the afternoon, but 1st thing in the morning they had an A/C company there to fix the problem. Lots of food choices, fancy to take-home. Beach is beautiful & not crowded; we took our rat terrier there 2 times & it was great! Mgmt.is awesome; would definitely stay there again! If you don't want to hear parties at 3 AM while you try to sleep, this is your place!

Overall this location was great for us especially having our two labs with us. Since we did minimal cooking, the kitchenette area was just fine for us. Management responded promptly when I had questions. Easy walk to the beach and since it's dog friendly, that made it even better. It is a 10 minute drive into the quaint town of Port St Joe with shops and restaurants. I would definitely come back in the future.

Easy walk to the beach. Was super clean and nice comfy king size bed. We watched a Mexican soccer game on cable/dish in the bedroom and watched movies on Hulu from the couch. We cooked all our meals and enjoyed a short easy walk to the beach and a drive to Cape San Blas park for kayaking. We enjoyed the screened in porch.

The cottage looked just as pictured. It was the perfect size for my mom, my aunt and me. Glad it was pet friendly since my mom wanted to bring her dog. The beach was a short distance. You could walked but we drove. If you like a crowded beach this isn’t for you. This is laid back, relaxing and very few people were on the beach while we were there. I would stay there again. The screened in porch area was nice. You could hear the waves from the ocean at night. The air conditioner was in the room so it was cool in the bedroom. The room with the sofa sleeper was cool just not as cool as the bedroom so you might consider bringing a fan. We had a great time!

The Wee Cottage does not fit its personality! Spacious, comfortable for the two of us, would also be very comfortable with two close friends. Immaculate! Included all the comforts of home in the kitchen and bedroom. The screened-in porch with swing was a nice place to sit during the evening. Only a few blocks/easy walking distance from the Gulf/beach. I would definitely return.

My family and small dog stayed a week during late April. The cottage is very comfortable, has a variety of sturdy seating options in the living and dining areas, as well as on the screened-in back porch. There are ceiling fans in three areas, as well as porch lights, and an outdoor hose to remove sand before entering. The king-sized bed made for an excellent night's rest, and the queen sleeper sofa appeared new and was of sturdy construction. The linens, towels, and pillows were of excellent quality. It was nice to have the half bath en suite to the bedroom. The shower is a step in, and older folks will appreciate the fact that both commodes were of taller height. There are five steps up to the front porch, and master locks at both entrances. The screened porch has an attached fenced yard and a doggie door. Most Gulf County beaches are pet friendly. There are 5 or 6 nearby restaurants; some toward Mexico Beach (recommend Killer Seafood) and others on the road to Port St. Joe---nearest grocery there is Piggly Wiggly. You should choose this rental for a relaxing getaway if you want a well-designed, comfortable cottage at an inexpensive price. **Realty company SUPER responsive to text when we accidentally locked ourselves out after dark. The Wee Cottage was very comfortable and had all of the amenities needed to feel at home and have a nice vacation. We really enjoyed the screened in porch for relaxing and the fenced in yard for our pets. It was very close to the beach and you can walk or drive within a couple of minutes. We would go again.

The Wee Cottage has been an incredible place for family time! We came back for a second year. We like to spend our time at the beach, so its perfect for us! I have my current service dog, and my old retired service dog that I won't leave at home, (Retirement is supposed to be good, right?), we love that its pet friendly, and the old guy gets to come too!

The Wee Cottage was absolutely wonderful! Cute, quiet neighborhood, short walk to beach, very calm ocean and spacious beach. My only suggestion would be to bring a fan or some kind of portable air-conditioning unit because the front of the cottage can get warm sometimes, usually in the evening. We used a box fan and it worked just fine. I hope to book this place again and again.

Great place. Very impressed and location is very good, quite area and plenty of room to park my 21’ boat. Nice fenced area that I could let my dog out, of course we picked up the poop since I go out to throw a ball for her and don’t want to leave it messy for the next guest. The cottage is laid out very nice and was surprised to find it has a 1 & 1/2 bath. King bed in bedroom and a full sleeper sofa. They layout gave me some great ideas for my tiny home when I retire next year. Will be back for a snapper weekend this fall ✌

We had a great short stay over the weekend! Location is 3 blocks from the beach- about an 8 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. Easy, accessible beach parking, as well as easy an drive to restaurants. Only a 15 minute drive to downtown Port St. Joe or 35 minutes to Cape San Blas. Nice, simple stay!

The Wee Cottage at Beacon Hill is quaint and comfortable for a small group looking to spend some time in a quiet little beach town. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary along with our two dogs. We were very comfortable, and our pups loved having easy access to the yard. It's just a short walk to the beach, with a very comfy place to come back to. We are already talking about a return trip.

Everything was clean and nice for the money. Sleeps 4 is stretching it. The fold out loveseat was not for an older adult. Would bring an air mattress next time. Would definitely rent it again.

My husband and I stayed at the Wee Cottage at Beacon Hill for our anniversary. We were so excited to be able to bring our two pups with us. The house itself is small, but extremely cozy. Everything was clean when we arrived. It took us a little while to figure out the automatic lock (lol) but once we got it down we were good to go. The beach is so close, and the neighborhood is so quiet, it was like our own little slice of paradise. The bed is comfortable, the shower is awesome, it was really nice having two bathrooms, and while the kitchen is small, we were easily able to make most of our meals. We are already talking about booking another stay later in the year. I definitely recommend this property for a small group or family looking to have a laid back beach vacation.

Amy’s place was great, easy access, quick walk to the beach. Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. Towels provided & a hair dryer, you’ll need to come prepared with all other toiletries/shower needs.

The Wee Cottage has everything you'll need for your stay within a short walk to a lovely beach! It's extremely quiet and there is a nice breeze through the screened-in deck. The a/c is cold and the king size bed is very comfortable. I brought my Maltipoo with me and she loved it as well. The doggie door and fenced-in property was very convenient and safe for my little fur baby.

Easy check in. Clean house with linens and towels. Enjoyed the screened in porch and saw Deer grazing one evening at dusk. The walk to the beach can be cumbersome if you are elderly and having to carry chairs etc...Saw some spectacular sunsets. I will be back.

From the moment I parked I knew this was going to be a perfect place for me and my little dog, Bailey! The property was very clean and well-appointed. I was able to prepare meals with ease and enjoy the breeze in the screened in porch. The King size bed was enormously comfortable and the A/C worked very well. Loved the fenced-in yard for my Bailey and for my Terra Trike w/dog trailer! Most of all, the beach was mere steps away - like 3 blocks! I loved my stay and hope to stay again in future. It was nice to see all the new construction and renovations going on after the 2018 devastation. I hope more businesses are able to open back up soon.

We really enjoyed ourselves! We thought the house was very cute and exactly what we needed! It was myself and best friend of 48 years! We will stay again!

The home was very clean and everything we needed. We greatly appreciate being allowed to stay. It was my significant other’s first time visiting the ocean and it was a quick and easy walk to it. We were also very close to our friends wedding ceremony which was held on the beach. Lovely home, very homey and quaint. I definitely recommend it!

I spent 3 weeks at the tiny cottage with my dogs and ‘worked from home’ there versus my permanent home and LOVED it! I have friends in the area so it was a great way to be with them and have my own space. The area is quiet yet a short walk to beach. When the vac didn’t work, the property manager brought over a new vac straight away. This trip was a test drive and it was wonderful so I plan to book at least 4 - 6 weeks in 2022.

The “wee cottage” was everything I was looking for in a relaxing getaway. The cottage is simple living but has any amenity you could need. I was pleased to find the king bed was very comfortable and the cottage does in fact have WiFi. This part of the Florida coast is quiet with a lot of local charms. The beach, which is a 5-minute walk through the neighborhood has white sand, beautiful sunsets and I could go for several mile runs and not encounter a soul! I did several day trips including to Apalachicola, St. George Island, Panama City and Destin. All very convenient to the cottage. There are a few restaurants/food trucks in the off season on the immediate strip and the closest “hub” is just 10 minutes down the road at Port St. Joe with grocery, several restaurants, bars and boutique shops. It was great to be able to bring the pup and enjoy Gulf County’s dog friendly beaches. I will be back again soon!
