Property Description:
As you enter the home, you are greeted with amazing views of the GULF OF MEXICO in the open concept kitchen, dining, and living room. From the coastal vibes to the unique character of Cabana del Sol, this home has the perfect floor plan and offers plenty of room for everyone! The fully stocked kitchen offers granite countertops, modern stainless steel appliances, and seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. The large living area offers so much charm with soaring pine ceilings, wall-to-wall windows and gives you plenty of space to spread out on the large sectional sofa and 2 additional sitting chairs. The split bedroom concept offers 2 bedrooms both with ensuite baths and private screened in balconies. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the ensuite bath has a custom tile shower and double vanity. The guest bedroom offers a queen and twin bed and ensuite bath with a shower tub combo and a single vanity.

Outdoor Amenities: Covered carport, gas grill, balcony, screened in porch, boardwalk to the beach.

Parking: Four parking spots are guaranteed. Boat parking is available in the driveway.

Pet Friendly: This property is not pet-friendly and is an animal free zone due to severe allergies. If you bring a pet to this home, an automatic charge of $500 will be imposed and/or you will be asked to vacate the home immediately.

Linens/Supplies: All bed and bath linens are supplied as well as all cookware/dinnerware/glassware in the kitchen. We also provide an initial supply of paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, bath soap, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dishwasher detergent.

Area Information: Need a break from the beach? Set out on a venture to discover the local shopping, galleries, entertainment, and restaurants. In 15 minutes you can be in downtown Port St. Joe. Visit the historic lighthouses and museums. Venture a little further to Cape San Blas and ride horseback on the beach or take a trip over to St. Vincent Island for the day. St Joseph Bay offers some of the best inshore fishing in Florida, book a charter and bring in the fish tale of the day. About 30 minutes away you can visit the historic fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River or grab some of the best seafood around! You won't be disappointed! There are so many options to do without crowds or traffic!

Beach Gear: Some of our properties have beach gear onsite (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc.); however, there is no guarantee as these items come and go throughout the year.

Age Requirement: Minimum age limit to rent this home is 25 years old.

Security cameras: N/A

Credit card fee: All payments processed are subject to a 3.25% credit card processing fee.

Rental Agreement: A signed Rental Agreement is required upon booking.

Cancellation Policy: We strongly encourage our guests to purchase the optional travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. All reservations include an administrative fee of $35 (plus taxes) upon booking which is non-refundable in the event of a reservation cancellation. Credit cards processing fees will be charged upon cancellation which is equal to 3.25% of all payments made.

Reservations canceled at least 60 days before check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled between 30 to 60 days before check-in date will receive a 50% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled less than 30 days before check-in date will result in forfeiture of the full advance rental payments and any other payments.

Area construction disclaimer: Our beautiful area has been under reconstruction since Hurricane Michael in 2018. We have come a long way since then, but there is still a considerable amount of new construction going on in the area. Wonderful Stay

We have stayed in the area a few times over the years - mostly at the cape but this is our new favorite. We are a family of 5 and this house was the perfect size for us. The beach was wide and secluded and the views from the deck were stunning. The interior of the house was well appointed as well and beautifully renovated. Another plus was the proximity to downtown Port St. Joe and the Indian Pass Raw Bar. Overall, a fantastic property!

My husband and I enjoyed our gateway so much. The house is beautiful and we loved the location. I do have a few suggestions. I would have loved to have had a King size bed in the master. My husband did sleep on the couch a couple of nights, just because it was a little more comfortable. I would also suggest maybe updating some of the kitchen cookware. Other than that I would highly recommend and stay again. Thanks again!

The house is perfect for two couples. Two bedrooms and baths separated by a large living area. The beach is literally right out the door! And it has never been crowded since there are only homes - no condos or hotels. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. Don’t know how it could be better!

We loved our stay! The location was perfect! Amy and her space were perfect for us! Walk out your door, and there’s the beach. We sipped morning coffee watching the waves! Amazing! I’m not a huge fan of big crowds, so this is perfect! There were several other families out there, but we are all able to be so spaced out you don’t even notice. I’m currently planning our next trip! The weather was a bit wonky, but we’re were still able to enjoy the water. Great Dining and shops within a short drive!

In this time where houses are being built 20 feet from each other, privacy is hard to find. This one was perfect! It has large palm trees on each side of the decks giving you great privacy! The house has been maintained very well! We loved it and hope to return next year.

Cabana Del Sol was the perfect place for our family vacation. It was very clean and easy to access. The location is perfect, close enough to local grocery store, dollar store and friendly downtown yet offered a quite, clean beach. One of our favorite things was our bonfire on the beach. This property was perfect for what I had in mind. My husband and I needed a getaway after our daughter got married- somewhere we could relax in the quiet. Owner kindly supplied beach books- I read three of them while I was there! November is a great time to go as this beach is almost deserted at that time. It is also convenient to restaurants in Port St Joe and Apalachicola (and with less people there, it is easy to get in without a wait). So, the cons are: Beds too small- there needs to be a King, no disposal (although this isn't really a big deal, just something to be aware of) and you need to bring your own blankets if it's in the colder months. Pros are: clean, manageable size for two people, great porch to view the sunset, right on the beach, easy drive to restaurants.

I loved the open floor plan, the beautiful decor, and the spectacular beach views that welcomed you as soon as you walked in the front door. Easy rental process. Small inconvenience upon arrival that was completely out of management's hands, but they were quick to respond once contacted. Beautiful house with direct access to the wonderful, non-crowed beach. House was fully stocked. Owners have honestly thought of everything you may need. Be sure to get showers out of the way before late evening, as there is a significant water pressure drop when the sprinklers turn on. Deck provides amazing views. Screened porches were very convenient. Watched dolphins almost every day. This was our first trip to the Gulf. Cabana Del Sol has us anxious to come back. Can't wait to book again!

What a week! Coffee everyday on the screen porch overlooking the gulf cannot be beat. Biked and hiked almost everyday. T.H.Stone State Park was outstanding. Do the hammock trail to the secret beach. St. George Island is a must see. The State Park at the end of the island feels like the end of the earth. Hosts were amazing. We will be back!!!

Weather was quiet nice with highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Very little rain. We had a very cute baby bat on the deck two days in a row. We looked it up - Florida Evening Bat. Water was churned up from the wind so the fish didn't bite. Really appreciated the beach chairs. Saw a couple of dolphins. Tracey and I took great walks. The pier museum on the beach is wonderful. We were here looking for our own beach house and showed Cabana Del Sol to our realtor as what we want for our own. Much nicer than our previous rentals on St. George Island.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary at your lovely retreat on the beach. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and roomy. We especially enjoyed the deck looking out to the beach. The kitchen was impressive. It had everything we needed and a nice long bar for food prep. The only possible negative I might mention is that the bed was too firm for us and the pillows too flimsy. The house is located in a very convenient location…between St Joe and Apalachicola. In all, we were extremely pleased with our visit and would definitely rent here again.

This house is amazing. Right on the water and in perfect condition. I have stayed at many rental properties; but this house literally came with everything you will need. Kitchen is well stocked. We did a lot of cooking so they could add some more/better frying pans and pots. We were looking for a more isolated beach due to covid and this place was perfect. It is adorable. Just beautiful. If you can snag it, do it now!

Great family trip along with fantastic weather for the week. Spent time at TH Stone State Park hiking to bay and collecting shells along the sandy shore. Had fun playing volleyball and pickleball at Salinas Park and several nights of beach bonfires at sunset. Topped off the week with kayaking in the bay and biking on the beach. What a beautiful and wonderful vacation in this special spot.
